Huf Development
We develop our products in partnership and co-operation with our Originally the core competence was in the development of mechanical products. As far back as the early 80s we began to bring additional electronics know-how into the company which lead to the fact that today, the Huf Group is a market leader in developing mechatronical products in the CASIM segment. CASIM stands for Car Access, Security and Immobilisation. Product development is a complete service for Huf, including the hard and software. Theft proofing of vehicles has been clearly improved by further development of Huf products. Product development uses the most modern methods. In simulation practices the behaviour of the products is simulated during the development phase. This way tolerances can be calculated and the products optimised at a very early stage. The finite element method is used for tolerance calculation. Initial, plastic models, produced by Fused Deposit Modelling (FDM) show how the products will look when finished. The prototype construction department makes prototypes and installs pre-serial parts in order to see how the products behave. In the test department, products are tested under extreme conditions for durability, functionality, tightness etc. In addition to this, Huf provides design studies. In these studies, ideas are developed on how products can be constructed and which materials can be used.
