Department Purpose:   


Provide quality oversight of product development. Ensure that all required quality assurance activities during this phase within a project are defined, planned, performed, verified and documented.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

This role will ensure that all required quality assurance activities during product development within a project are defined, planned, performed, verified and documented.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish measures to prevent product errors caused during development phase of product development.
  • Focus Quality Management on Product Life Cycle.
  • Track and evaluate development process, as specified in Huf Corporate Business Management System (CBMS).
  • Create Quality Management plan, contribute to tailoring, and provide team-coaching.
  • Provide audit and assessment information and definitions (i.e. check process quality) and track measures.
  • Monitor verification and validation of various product development processes/stages.
  • Manage implementation of quality assurance activities during product development phase

  • Monitor compliance of project work against defined process standards

  • Coaching of project team regarding process compliance

  • Preparation of project teams for assessments & audits (e.g. ASPICE, CMMI)

  • Execution of internal assessments & audits

Educational Requirements: 

Bachelor degree or above in Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science


  • Five (5) plus years’ quality profession experience including automotive or similar industry exposure.
  • Practical applied experience and / or certifications in Quality Technology disciplines such as
  • Six Sigma, Kaizen, SPC, Design of Experiments, Quality System Certifications of TS 16949 and Auditing.
  • Several years working experience in quality assurance for electronics and mechatronic products

  • Expert skills in process assessment models (e.g. ASPICE, CMMI) and quality assurance methods like reviews, metrics etc.

  • Strong numerical analysis skills.
  • Solid interpersonal verbal and written communication skills required.



    Specialized Working Conditions and % Travel:  (i.e.: hearing, vision, extreme temperatures)


    The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Some travel to plants in TN and Mexico may be required depending on product manufacturing status. Travel to Germany will be required for a 2 week training session and periodic shorter trips may be necessary for design reviews.
