A world first: Huf presents its IntelliSens App at the REIFEN Trade Fair

The innovative TPMS-Service for Smartphone, Tablet or PC. At the REIFEN 2016 World Trade Fair Huf will show that TPMS universal sensors can be configured quickly and easily by using an App. From 24-27 May in Essen this innovative producer of tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) will demonstrate their “IntelliSens App” for Europe – a world first in. By using the new App repair shops, tyre dealers and distributors will find monitoring tyre pressure much easier.

Benjamin Müller, Huf’s Independent Aftermarket Product Manager ,“Until now many small repair shops have steered away from investing in a diagnostic tool for TPMS-service. The IntelliSens App offers an alternative for this.  The App makes the TPMS-service much easier because they can use their own equipment.  The sensor and the IntelliSens App communicate via the HC1000 which acts as a “translator” between the sensor and the mobile terminals.

Convincing advantages for repair shops
Benjamin Müller summarises, “The distinct advantage for repair shops is the automatic updating of the IntelliSens App.  This means that changes and new vehicle models are immediately available. Further plus-points for the new App are that it’s easy and intuitive to use and the fact that it covers all widely-used OE sensors. Rob Viset, Huf Product Trainer,  “Direct support assistance via Team Viewer is unique to the market. The IntelliSens App also uses a data base with usage instructions and a historical database.  Two processors ensure fast speed and good reliability. Service reports can also be printed via WLAN using a smartphone.  So far the App is available in German, English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Swedish – other languages will be added in time.” Rob Viset emphasises, “As a traditional company with a long and successful history in the business, we are always very cautious with superlatives, but the new IntelliSens App really  is revolutionary.  After using the App once, nobody will want to do without it.  This is confirmed by experienced tyre fitters, who have undergone TPMS training. The increasing trend in repair shops is to use a tablet to check on spares availability and to use a tablet to order them.  That’s why we see the IntelliSens App as the perfect complement to classic diagnostic tools .  Whether a repair shop chooses a diagnostic tool or the IntelliSens App is, of course, entirely up to them.  One person may like separate equipment  and another may prefer to use their mobile communication means.  Now both are possible”. Huf will introduce their world first at the  REIFEN 2016 in Essen and it’s a certain fact that many prospective customers will want to test the new app there and then.
